Bowen, S., & Petrelli, D. (2011) <Remembering todaytomorrow:Exploring the human-centred design of digital mementos, International Jounal of Human-Computer Studies 69>, pp. 324-337.
Summary:
The thesis explored the weakness and potential of digital mementos as human-centered design.
First, writers studied current ways for remembering and could get ideas for user needs and human values in autobiographical recollection. From this, they could suggest properties for digital mementos such as being easily accessible, being self-contained and lasting long time.
Second, researchers showed participants 'critical artefacts',which inspried them to realize broader range of human activities like web surfing or using apps. Then, researchers and inspired participants together proposed many design ideas for novel practices and application of technology.
I totally agree with the fact that digital mementos require too much effort as I made one. It needs to be more easy to make digital mementos. In this sense, I think Txt box and previously widget 2 are good ideas because these require little effort.

Sabanovic, S., Reeder, S. & Kechavarzi, B. (2014). <Designing Robots in the Wild: In situ Prototype Evaluation for a Break Management Robot, Journal of Human-Robot Interaction>, Vol. 3, No. 1, 2014, pp. 70-88.
Summary:
First, the witers explored context of taking break in an office and design of the break reminder. As a result, people wanted a simple robot with no noise.
Second, they tested the prototype and found out that users requested more interactivity and personalization
Third, they examined how social interactivity affects effectiveness in taking break time. The result was that social robots are more effective but work style has significant effect on perception of robots.
I could sense that emotion and interaction have become very important factor in products because people love to interact with others and personalize their belongings. I also got to know that prototyping and evaluation is useful method to make better products in the human machine interaction field because it allows us to find out problems in specific design factors.
